Perfect Toddler Day

Today was a "Best Day Ever".  We started the day playing with Blu in the backyard.  Poor old Blu he has so much patience with the girls.  The it was inside to mess up the playroom, we figured we would get that task out of the way early.  Then we had a little more running around outside before lunch.  They cleaned there plates and even went after the spilled food.

After lunch they took slept for 2 and a half hours!  Yay!

We raked some leaves in the front yard for a little bit before heading down the street for a playdate.  We walked down to see Tripp and check out his Trampoline.   They had a blast.

When we got home it was time for some Pirate Booty and some "The Animal Song" on Youtube, accompanied by dancing.

Loving the Spring like weather.

We headed up to Mammoth Cave on Sunday for a hike.  Its been sunny and in the 60's so perfect for a nice walk in the woods.  Zoë has been on a good amount of hikes but she has alway rode in the backpack.  On Sunday she made it a good ways then just sat down.  The end of the trail was a few hundred steps and she did all of them!
Saving some picnic for later.

Big Girl!

This photo makes me happy more then I ever thought possible

The hike made her sleepy.

Super Bowl!

Zoë and I were very excited for the Super Bowl half-time show with Madonna so she dressed in old school Madonna style.

No Flash Mama

Last Day of School.

Since I lost my job we had to take Z out of her school that she loves so much.  I kept telling her that she only would be going a few more days and I wished that she understood on the last day that she would not see her teacher for a while or her buddies.  When it came time for me to pick her up for the last time she was not interested in long goodbyes she as usual saw me and headed for the door.  So in the photos I snapped she was kinda cranky.

I am hoping we can send her back next year at least one day a week.

15 Months!

My little z is becoming such an independent little goofball.  She dances so much that she has this penguin walk that she does so she can walk and dance at the same time.  Her newest words are Backpack and Cracker.  She is very excited about the word cracker because its magic, she can walk into the kitchen point at the cabinet and say "Caa-ker" and I will hand her a cracker.  Also I got her a mini backpack that she loves to stop around the house in saying "Baa pack"  Another fun new item that she loves is her raincoat, at school they have to hide it so she wont want to put it on.

She can now climb onto the couches, which she loves to pretend sleep on and knock on the window.  I have a prediction she will end up braking that window.  Rolling in the grass is another one of her favorite past times along with stirring with a spoon and cup from my old tea set.

The Big Party!

We had a little shindig at our home to celebrate Zoë's Birthday.  That morning she woke up knowing it was her special day as she was a big cheesy goof ball.  I was worried with all the commotion getting ready for the party I would not be able to get her down for a nap, but she went down easy and slept for almost 2 hours.  We got lots of help from all the grandparents.  Almost all her buddies were able to make it over on her big day.  She had a blast and when it came to cake time she put on a show for everyone, at present time she got really excited about each gift.  She fell right asleep that night and sleep all night.

O my what a year that has gone by.

Well my baby cakes is now a year old and is learning faster then ever.  At her one year check up she measured 30 inches and 20 lbs.  She still does not have the confidence to walk on her own but has resortated to walking on her knees.  She still waves to everyone she see and loves to be outside.

Favorites things to do:
-Look at books, have a book read to her, and also eat books.
        -Dancing and singing
        -Practice walking
-Feed Blu her food from her highchair
-Find leafs and then show them to everyone around
-Go to the park and mimic the big kids
-Give mommy kisses when she has food all over her face

I am amazed at how much she knows and understands now.  She knows her toys by name and will go get them when asked.  She loves music so some times she will clap her hands when she wants to hear Patty Cake or say "Ei Ei" when she wants to sign Old McDonald.  With how outgoing she is, it is making me have to be more outgoing too.
